Why Join AILO?

The Association of International Life Offices (AILO) aims to create an environment to enable its Members to succeed, to provide collective services to Member firms and to maintain the highest levels of service.

Membership currently comprises over 50 companies from several jurisdictions and AILO welcomes applications for Membership from other international life companies. Applications for Observer Membership are also invited from international life companies who are closed to new business, or from reinsurance companies working with cross-border business.

AILO's main functions are listed below.

  • AILO represents Members' interests to governments, regulators, tax authorities etc

  • AILO monitors EU and international regulatory, legislative and market developments

  • AILO provides a forum for sharing and discussing topics of common interest

  • AILO provides support material for companies and IFAs to help develop and expand markets

  • AILO produces monthly new business statistics for the cross-border industry

  • AILO raises the profile of the international financial services market through the development of relationships with the media and the publication of regular articles
